On September 4 2024 Humane Police and our animal control officer conducted a major operation in Windber, PA, resulting in the removal of nearly 100 cats from a home under deplorable and hoarding conditions. The rescue mission, which lasted five hours, uncovered severe neglect and unacceptable living conditions for the animals.
June 14 2026 Cat Hoarding rescue of around 30 cats in Somerset PA
May 29 2026 responded with our hspo to a call on Route 56 in Somerset County. Two dogs were found abandoned by unknown individuals. Both animals had significant injuries from porcupine quills. Anyone with information about the person(s) responsible for abandoning these dogs is asked to please contact us immediately. Call or text: 814-376-4812 There is a reward being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible.
